Design and Looks- “Big and bold”
I have been using this phone since couple of days and there’s no denying in the fact that this phone from Asus is aimed to lure customers who dream for big screen size smart phones in the minimum budget and that’s certainly a case for many bloggers.

Asus Zenfone 6 certainly looks a lil big when it comes to my choice so I would not recommend the gadget for girls as a main gadget. Girls might can use this as a phablet but not as smartphone. If you grip the phone by one hand, there are much chances to get your another hand in action to operate this 6 inch Asus product.

This smartphone can be easily handled if you are using some 5 inch+ screen size smart phones since last couple of years. However, if you are switching from a 4 or 4.5 inch smart phone to this 6 inch big boy, you probably need to think again.

Zenfone 6 feels pretty much heavy at 196 gram but feels great solid gadget in hands. The gadget is slim and looks classy like the prior one. Colors that might interest you are Charcoal Black, Pearl White, Cherry Red, Champagne Gold.

One thing that disappointed me very much was the clarity of the screen. It is not pretty much amazing with 245 ppi on Zenfone 6. With IPS panels, the screen resolution is quite decent.

Camera
Apart from its screen size, 13 MP camera is the second thing which impressed me very much on Zenfone 6. After couple of days of use, I came to know that the camera on Asus Zenfone 6 uses a Panasonic sensor of 1/3.06 inch size instead of Sony sensors which are used to.

There are variety of modes, essentials like HDR, panorama and low light modes that make your Zenfone 6 a good buy. It gives you much better colour reproduction than its predecessor Zenfone 5.

However, it gradually got limited to me as my “everyday camera” because of some 2 second delaying in two shots and fewer details compared to other 13MP camera smart phones. It is a good and decent start by Asus. Also I like the inbuilt photo collage making option of gadget.

Processor and performance
Like other mid range smart phones, Zenfone 6 does not come with a top-end processor. It uses the 2GHz Intel Atom Z2580 with a 2 GB of Ram. Using it for some days, I gradually found that the 2 GB Ram has lot more to do when it comes to phone’s performance. But here’s a deal breaker. The Intel Atom Z2580 is actually a dual core and that heartbreaking when you see other Android mid range smart phones have a quad core processor in them. Also the gadget come up with 8/16/32 gb internal storage depends on your choice.

The overall performance experience is pretty decent with some lags here and there and that’s pretty much common in lower cost smart phones with custom UI.

The lows
With 6 inch screen, Asus could have provided a better clarity to the screen on Zenfone 6 and that’s something that is disappointing. The screen will be tough to handle for users who are new to big size smart phones and even for people who are into big screen size the phone might be difficult to handle at times.
