Coolpad, one of the largest smartphone makers in China, has launched another budget smartphone in India – Coolpad Note 3 Lite. The company came into the limelight with the launch of Coolpad Note 3 in India, which too was an amazing value for money device.

The newly launched Coolpad Note 3 Lite flaunts its appealing design language with really thin side bezels, and top-notch build quality with use of superior quality plastic. That said, the front of the device is dominated by a 5-inch IPS panel with a resolution of 720p, and is covered by a scratch resistant glass. A couple of sensors and the front camera sit above the display, and the touch capacitive Android navigation buttons sit right below the display. Under the hood, the smartphone runs on a 64-bit quad-core MediaTek MT6735 processor, which is accompanied by Mali T720 GPU for handling heavy graphics. The company has been quite generous in the RAM department, and has included a healthy 3 GB of RAM for easy multitasking. The internal memory is rated at 16 GB, which can be further expanded up to 32 GB using a microSD card.

Coolpad Note 3 Lite runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop with Cool UI 6.0 on top. The major highlight of the device is its fingerprint scanner that is situated on the back of the device, just below the rear camera. The Coolpad Note 3 was one of the few budget devices that was equipped with a fingerprint scanner, and the company has the bar even higher by including the scanner in an even cheaper device.

Moreover, the device also supports 4G LTE connectivity on its dual SIM card slots. The device supports Indian bands for LTE connection. Besides 4G, the device also supports Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0 as well as USB OTG. A battery pack of 2500 mAh powers up the device, and should be quite enough for keeping the device running for long.

For the photogenic generation, the device sports a 13 MP rear facing with a single LED flash, and the front facing camera is of 5 MP. Another interesting thing about the device is that it will be manufactured in India itself supporting the PM Modi’s Make in India programme. The company plans to manufacture about 1 million devices in the first half of 2016.

For a price of Rs. 6,999, the device offers fabulous specifications, including the fingerprint scanner and 4G LTE connectivity.

The Coolpad Note 3 Lite seems to be an incredibly value for money device form the initial impressions, and we’ll reserve our final verdict till we do a thorough in-depth review.
