HTC 10 Comes to India as HTC 10 Lifestyle, Check Full Specifications

The one device that has taken all of us through a slew of leaks and rumours finally went official today. Yes, we are talking about the HTC 10! Thanks to the accurate and reliable leaksters, we knew almost everything about the HTC 10 even months before it was made official yesterday evening (according to IST). With the first impressions, the device seems to be worth the hype.

If you managed to miss out the leaks related to the device, then let us first quickly run through the specs and features of the device. The HTC 10 has an all new metal design with chamfered back edges, that besides looking good, provide better grip when held with one hand. The front has a 5.2-inch LCD 5 panel that sports a 2K resolution and is covered with 2.5D Gorilla Glass.

Below the display sits the fingerprint scanner-cum-home button, with capacitive Android navigation keys on the either side. The company claims that the fingerprint scanner can unlock the device within 0.2 seconds!

As you might have noticed in the pics, the front facing stereo speakers are gone now. Instead, HTC has embedded one speaker in the earpiece itself, and has also included a bottom firing speaker, that will also work as a sub-woofer. HTC has been the market leader with its Boomsound speakers, and it didn’t miss them on HTC 10 either.

HTC went a step ahead and took the audio experience to the next level with the introduction of hi-res 24-bit audio output, that is both louder and clearer than any of the smartphone currently retailing in the market.

The processor choice for any modern top end smartphone seems to be quite obvious, with the only option available with the makers is Snapdragon 820. The international variant of the HTC 10 too is powered by this SoC from Qualcomm, and is accompanied by Adreno 530 and 4 GB of RAM for butter smooth performance.

But, here comes a bummer for the Indian audience. HTC decided to launch the HTC 10 Lifestyle in India, that will run on the mid-range octa-core Snapdragon 652 CPU with Adreno 510 and 3 GB of RAM. Rest all the specifications are same as the high end variant.

Besides beefing up the performance of the HTC 10, the company also gave its rear and front cameras a makeover. Combining the HTC’s Ultrapixel technology with a 12 MP sensor, the rear camera is now even brawnier. It has dual-tone LED flash, f/1.8 aperture, Laser Autofocus, and OIS, all of which work together for better and sharper low light photographs. For the first time in the industry, the front facing camera of the HTC 10 also comes with OIS, for more stable selfies.

Coming to the software, the HTC 10 runs on Android 6.0 with HTC Sense 8.0 UI, which now looks more like the stock Android, but with all the amazing features of the Sense UI. HTC has closely worked with Android to removing the duplicate apps in the OS for doing the same job, thereby reducing the bloatware and precious storage space.

On paper, and going by the claims of HTC, the HTC 10 seems to be a solid device, and will give its competitors a run for their money. Anyway, the company has announced that the HTC 10 will be available in Carbon Grey, Glacier Silver and Topaz Gold colors for a price of $699 for the international variant, and will hit the market in May.
